ALTERNATE, mouz stunned in EPS
The first day of the EPS Spring 2013 finals brought some real upsets as ALTERNATE and mousesports both missed out on a place in the grand final.
Having finished in the top two places during the regular season, ALTERNATE and mousesports were both expected to reach Sunday's final, but they have been left wondering how it all went wrong after falling short against their respective opponents in the semi-finals.
Just two days after helping TCM-Gaming to qualify for TECHLABS Minsk, Benjamin "qk-Mantis" Oberlein and Azmican "asmo" Berberoglu, playing their last tournament for n!faculty, powered the team to pick up a sensational 2-0 victory over ALTERNATE (16-14 on de_nuke_se, 16-12 on de_dust2_se).
gob b's mouz fail to reach final
In the other semi-final contest, mousesports, with with Fatih "gob b" Dayik as a stand-in, fought back after being destroyed on de_inferno_go 16-6 and levelled the tie on one map with a 21-17 victory on de_mirage_go, but on the final map, de_nuke_ve, dotpiXels came out the brighter, posting a 16-14 win to progress to the final.
